Mature Market Experts Stat of the Day: “According to Exec-U-Net, a Connecticut-based executive job information organization, unemployed older adults have a very difficult time finding new employment. Exec-U-Net’s research found that it takes 18 percent longer for a 41- to 45-year-old executive to secure a job, compared to a 35- to 40-year-old. For someone 46 to 50 it takes 24 percent longer, 44 percent longer for a 51- to -55-year-old job seeker, and 66 percent longer for those aged 56 to 60. According to Exec-U-Net, it can take nine months to a year for an older worker to find a management-level job.”
